But now Joey Fatone is showing off a new lustrous head of hair, thanks to a special restoration procedure involving hair transplants.
The 36-year-old 'N Sync star credits Bosley hair restoration for his gorgeous mane in a new informercial.

The boy band member admitted in a Bosley press release: 'Performing in front of a live audience can be pretty intimidating, so having a full head of hair was important to me.'

In the informercial released this week, Fatone says: 'As a member of the musical group N Sync, there's a side of me most people are unaware of.'
He goes on to reveal his own struggle with thinning hair and the solution he found.
Also featured in the info advert is Brady Bunch star Christopher Knight, who credits the procedure for his full head of hair.
Currently, Fatone, whose group has sold over 50 million records worldwide, is filming episodes of his new cooking show My Family Recipe Rocks, on the Live Well Network.

Joey's latest procedure follows in the footsteps of fellow boy band member A.J. McLean who posted the results of his hair transplants on Instagram back in April.
The Backstreet Boys star showed off his significantly thicker hair in several photographs on his social networking page.
'Some girls get there (sic) boobs done some guys get abb implants all to make them happy!' he wrote. 'This was the one thing I did and I couldn't be happier thank u dr G!!!!'
